Frequently-Asked Questions
Why don’t all Illustration Ideas have downloadable files?
Most ILLUSTRATION IDEAS do not currently have downloadable files since most major motion picture studios have not yet given us the rights to offer their copyrighted materials as downloads. You may publicly play the scenes referenced and detailed from the ScreenVue website after purchasing or renting the DVD. However, we are pleased to offer scene downloads from selected major motion pictures. For example, The Chronicles of Narnia includes six full promotional scenes (not trailers) which are available for immediate download in the member section of this website. The other 500+ standard downloadable scenes are from movies produced by Christian/Independent studios, and are available from our website in either MPEG or Quicktime formats. All downloadable scenes will display a red download icon ( ).
What resources are included in a ScreenVue Membership?
ScreenVue has TWO main products:
Scene Downloads: Most are produced by Christian/Independent studios and easily accessed from the left section under “SCENE DOWNLOADS + View All." When selecting this link, we are also pleased to include in the alphabetical list over 70 scene downloads from selected major motion pictures (which can also be accessed by themselves when selecting the upper homepage banner "Downloads from Selected Major Movies").
Illustration Ideas: These are from major movies and easily accessed from the left section under “ILLUSTRATION IDEAS.” These contain the message, "Currently not downloadable,” since they cannot be legally offered as downloads. The only major movie downloads available are the ones listed from our major movie scene download banner. To use the Scene IDEAS, you will have to rent, buy or use the DVD you already own. The value: the scene start/stop times, synopsis and suggested scriptures are included (see the "free illustration idea" link); access to the large data base search engine with the ability to filter and define your search to fit your particular needs.
If I'm having trouble downloading a scene - what steps should I try first before contacting ScreenVue?
- Clear all internet temp files, reboot your PC, reopen the scene and try downloading it again.
- Check and make sure your security setting is not set too high. If it is, it may only download a portion of the scene and then stop.
- Check and make sure any anti-virus software on your PC is not blocking the download.
- Try downloading and playing the scene from a different PC.
